Jocelyn facilitates engaging, hands on workshops in sound, rhythm and vocal play. Her ‘user friendly’ approach reduces inhibitions by focusing on healing and exploration not performance.
Landscapes of the human heart. Jocelyn has been improvising since the age of 4. She uses music composition to reflect her own emotional and spiritual path.
Jocelyn uses vocal improvisation, plays congas, didgeridoo, the Auracle, piano and anything else she can coax a sound out of.
Sounding in community is an ancient practice used in many indigenous cultures throughout the world. When there is a birth, a death or a special rite of passage being observed, tribal members come together with the ‘soul’ purpose of offering support for those individuals. Music, rhythm, sounding and chanting are integral to these rituals. Music as medicine.
